Description:
A Favor Given, A Favor Owed. throws the viewer into the unbearable tension of desperation. At its center is a single green eye - alive, piercing, and unrelenting - the gaze of someone teetering on the edge of control. This is the eye of a person who has gone too far, who has crossed invisible lines, driven by a need that is urgent, primal, and utterly consuming. We do not know how much further this desperation can go, and that uncertainty makes the moment unbearable.
Within the eye is the faint reflection of a ritual space inspired by Hoodoo and Voodoo traditions - a world of unseen debts, obligations, and unseen forces. The energy of the moment is thick and tangible: the tension between desire, morality, and consequence pulses from the canvas This is a moment suspended in time, where every heartbeat counts, where the next action could plunge deeper into chaos, or shatter everything left standing.
The intensity of this piece is deliberate - every bold color, every high-contrast shadow, every streak of dry brushing pulls the viewer into that precipice. You feel it in your chest, that suffocating mix of fear and exhilaration, that sense of watching someone unravel while still moving forward. It is not safe. It is not neat. It is raw. It is alive.
